Dear Deb:
I read the article about you in the Juniata Sentinel and had to say hello and congratulations. Your journey has been a long one but worth the years and work you put in to writing from your heart and your advocacy for those with dementia. Although I am not dealing directly with dementia, as a resident of a retirement community, I witness its affects on my friends and neighbors. My daughter’s mother-in-law also recently passed from Alzheimer’s disease and I know the devestation the disease caused for her and the whole family.
I hope our paths cross some day. I will try to come to your book signing; however we have some birthday celebrations that weekend.
Should you subcribe to the Juniata Sentinel, please look for my column “Words From The Woods.” I’ve had the pleasure of writing the column for the past year and a half. Recently, I have been writing about our family’s saga 46 years ago building a log cabin in the woods near McAlisterville.
